The Small Grants Scheme provides additional grants for which commoners who have entered the VGS can apply.
It offers maximum grants of £2,000 per application towards the cost of capital items that will support their commoning activities.
Examples of successful applications include:
- financial contribution towards building a new barn for a young commoner
- buying a cattle crush for a group of commoners
- installing a water supply to a field used for back-up grazing.
