Since 2015, we have commissioned experts from Bournemouth University Global Environmental Solutions (BUG) and the Freshwater Biological Association (FBA) to carry out fish population surveys and freshwater invertebrate surveys.
Each year the team surveys a selection of sites across the New Forest – you can read the reports on the right of this page. The results provide a snapshot of the fish and macroinvertebrate communities found across a range of New Forest wetland sites.
